Favorite Blog Award: Dita

As promised I am back with my favorite installment of great blogs, I was so busy with so many things that I was not able to feature my favorite bloggers.  But now I am back with a new favorite logo and more features bloggers for everyone to get to know with.

And to start the ball rolling, if electricity binds you the greatness of power then my featured blogger does not need anything to keep her burning love for Fashion.  With her blog’s static name Electic Du Jour, Dita Wibowo explains to us why?

Name: Dita Wibowo
Favorite Music: Too many to mention. However Doldrums version of MIA’s – Space Odyssey is currently on constant replay.
Favorite Brand: I don’t have a specific one but mass market brands like Zara, H&M, Bershka, River island and Topshop are always great for finding fashionable items on a budget.
Favorite Food: Junk food. I know..horrible isn’t it!
Favorite Design Tool: Photoshop
Favorite Website: Bloglovin’! they basically compile most of my reading materials…
Favorite Style Icon: Christine Centenara, Miroslava Duma, Nicole Richie, Olivia Palermo and everybody’s fave twins the Olsen twins.
Favorite Designer: I know this might sound very inconsistent of me but my fave designers changes quite often depending upon their collection that particular season. At the moment they are Isabel Marant, Stella McCartney, Phoebe Philo  just to name a few…

Sweet:  Can you briefly tell us about yourself?

Dita: Just your ordinary gal desperately trying to find her niche in this crazy world. I have a hard time being vocally expressive thus I speak through songs and often visualize through photography. Yeah go figure…

Sweet: How did you get into blogging?

Dita: I was never really aware of the whole fashion blogging scene, at least not until I stumbled upon Le blog de Betty. Her blog just opened a new perspective and so I decided to make one my own. I was a bit apprehensive at first, the thought of posting pics of yourself seems a bit silly and narcissistic. However after much thought, I just decided to go for it. I figure aside from being able to share my love for fashion, it would also be a nice outlet where I can freely express myself.

Sweet: If you had to describe your blog in less than 20 words how would describe it?

Dita: a peek into my eclectic style, deep thoughts and some stuff I cherish..hopefully you’re intrigued =)

Sweet: Is this a full time job?

Dita: Not at all but it sure would be a fun way to earn a living.

Sweet: In what category can you qualify your blog?

Dita: Since most of my post are dominated with outfit pics, it would probably most likely be considered as a fashion blog but I don’t necessarily categorize it as that myself. I feel that my blog is not worthy of that title yet so i’d rather go with personal blog for the time being.

Sweet: How many blogs do you have?

Dita: I’m already struggling with this one, so just one is enough for now.

Sweet:  What are some of your goals this year for your blog?

Dita: I’ve never really thought about it but I guess more exposure won’t hurt.

Sweet:  Where do you find inspiration for your outfit post?
Dita: Mostly from street styles, editorials, runways and the obvious, from fellow bloggers of course. Though sometimes I opt not to take things too literal so I tend to also seek inspiration through artworks and movies.

Sweet:  How does your workplace look like?

Dita: My workplace is basically all over the place, from my favorite coffee shop up to my cozy bed as long as I have my laptop then I’m good to go.

‘Sweet:  What advice would you give to new bloggers wanting to start their own blogs?

Dita: Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there ( wow! I should start listening to my own advice ;p) and always remember to be original. There are a lot of blogs out there so be sure to make yours stand out.
